Ingredients:

Serves

Main:

  • toast bread 6 Bread slices
  • ham 3 Slices
  • yellow cheese 3 Tablespoons
    (grated)
  • egg 3 Pieces
  • cherry tomatoes 1 Piece
  • chives 3 Teaspoons
  • salt At discretion

General:

  •  1.
Cut off the crust from slices of toast bread. Roll out each slice very thinly.
  •  2.
Finely grate yellow cheese, cut slices of ham in half.
  •  3.
Grease a muffin pan with butter, put 2 rolled out slices of bread into each muffin cup, so that they cover the sides and bottom completely – they should form a "bowl" of sorts. If the muffin cups are small, a single slice might be enough.
  •  4.
Line the sides of each "bowl" with 2 pieces of ham (i.e. one whole slice).
  •  5.
Add some grated cheese and crack an egg into each "bowl". Obviously, small eggs would be a better choice for small cups.
  •  6.
Bake at 190°C/375°F for about 15 minutes.
  •  7.
About 5 minutes before the end, top slightly set eggs with pieces of cherry tomatoes.
  •  8.
Serve straight from the oven, lightly salted and sprinkled with chopped chives.
  •  9.
    Cooking time: about 30 minutes
